
Lorene Miller is director of Southern California Edison’s Business Process & Technology Integration division with the Customer Service Business Unit. She is responsible for integration of business systems and processes and oversight of technology related investments. She joined SCE in 1988 and assumed her current role in January 2004.
Miller began her SCE career as an Application Developer in the Information Technology department. She has held various management positions within the company such as director of the Billing Organization, manager of Process Management, Direct Access Implementation & Support, and manager of Payment Services.
From 2000 through 2003 as Billing Director, Miller was responsible for billing, payment processing, and credit activities for customer revenues in excess of $9 billion annually. In 2003, Miller completed a job rotation as director of the Field Services and Meter Reading Organization (FSMRO), responsible for performing Field Services, Meter Reading and Revenue Protection services to SCE’s 4.4 million customers.
In 1998, during electric industry restructuring in California, Miller was responsible for development of the company’s new business processes and led the implementation of the primary metering, billing, and customer and supplier interface functions.
Miller holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Science from California State University, Los Angeles and participates in executive management programs. She has experience with process integration and technical development efforts, including the implementation of SCE’s Customer Service System (CSS), and has extensive knowledge of electric industry restructuring.
She has served as a mentor for the Asian American Professional Association since 2003.
