Pokil joined IBM in 1984 in Texas as a sales trainee. His positions with IBM include: Sales Representative, System Engineer, I/T Architect, Product Sales Specialist, Server Sales Manager, Software Architect. He has worked with industries that include: publishing, finance, government, education, healthcare, and media/entertainment. He is currently an IBM Marketing Manager responsible for Southern California and Arizona.

Pokil and wife Michelle moved to Los Angeles from Texas in 1998. They have two children, Theresa and Aaron.
