Elizabeth La Cour, a Filipino-American born and raised in the Philippines, is a manager at Southern California Edison (SCE) responsible for state and local tax matters at Edison International and its 150 subsidiaries. Her responsibilities include income and sales/use tax compliance, planning and audit defense. Beth, a graduate of Asian-American Professional Association’s (AAPA) mentoring program, also worked as a change champion for SCE’s ERP project, an assignment she achieved through networking opportunities with AAPA. Beth also held other supervisory and managerial positions when she worked for the California Franchise Tax Board and Arthur Andersen. She serves as a mentor for SCE’s newly-launched mentoring program. She currently attends university of La Verne and is scheduled to complete her Masters degree in Leadership and Management in 2011. She earned her undergraduate Accounting degree from California State University, Fullerton.
