Karen Koyano is the Manager of Market Analysis at Southern California Edison (SCE) where she is responsible for monitoring the California energy market for unusual market prices or trends in order to protect the interests of SCE and its customers. Karen has spent her career in the energy industry including over 20 years with SCE and 5 years at the California Power Exchange. Previous management responsibilities include short-term and long-term planning for meeting the demand of electricity for the next week to the next decade. She has also testified before state and federal energy regulatory agencies regarding the cost of providing electricity. Karen has a Bachelors degree in Mechanical Engineering and a Masters in Applied Statistics.
