AAPA now offers a unique option of collective giving through the creation of a Giving Circle.
A Giving Circle is a group of community-minded friends who pool together our resources to make a bigger impact in the community by supporting programs and projects that they share a common purpose. Anyone can become a member to give and participate!
Through friends, family members, colleagues, or others, a Giving Circle is a type of pooled fund where members come together to make a grant. With each member contributing to the fund, the Giving Circle combines its resources for a bigger sum of charitable dollars to make more of a collective impact with the larger donation.
Giving Circles Include:
Professional and Leadership Development Scholarship Giving Circle - $15,000
AAPA UpLift Giving Circle - $15,000
Equitable Representation Giving Cycle - $15,000
Giving Amounts:
$250
$500
$1000
$2000
Others
Giving Process:
AAPA administered or self organized
Give through AAPA's fundraising platform
Quarterly reports on contribution, impact and results
Opportunities to advise, organize, connect, and plan events and activities

The preparation includes resume building workshops, interview techniques, and one-on-one mentoring, to ensure that those who are most vulnerable and need assistance are given an equitable opportunity to be offered a well-paying job and a long-term career. A year ago, the jobless rate for Asian Americans was 2.8%, but Asian American unemployment soared to 15% in May, and it was still 10.7% in August — well above the rate of 7.3% for whites and the Latino rate of 10.5%.
Impact: This funding will provide on-going recruiting and job application readiness training for well compensated and secure professional jobs for the marginalized individuals. Secured jobs and raised income will significantly uplift the economic life of marginalized individuals.
