If I cannot attend every single meeting, can I still benefit from Toastmasters?
The Toastmasters journey is self-paced. We do understand that each of us has other obligations outside of the club and they tend to change.
You are NOT required to attend every single meeting. If you tell yourself you can set aside AT LEAST 1.5 hours a month to work on your communication and other soft skills, then use AAPA Toastmasters as a platform to help you achieve that goal.

Am I required to speak at a club meeting?
No. You are not obligated to speak when visiting a club. You may simply observe if you wish. If you’d like to participate, you may either raise your hand during the impromptu speech segment, which is called Tabletopics, or let the Toastmaster of the Meeting know. The Toastmaster of the Meeting usually stays around the front of the room, by the lectern.
