Jim leads corporate development, strategy and M&A growth efforts in Fortune 500 companies collaborating and building relationships with stakeholders, management teams and boards, entrepreneurs and investment community to make meaningful impact and drive enterprise growth.
He specialized in mergers and acquisitions, investments, joint ventures and partnerships to divestitures and restructuring globally at Harman/Samsung and Mattel. His corporate strategy work included operational initiatives and processes, value chain assessment, adjacencies, white space opportunity sizing, business model analysis, new ventures ideation from technology innovation to market competitive analysis. Jim started his professional career in management consulting, strategy & transactions with Ernst & Young Global (EY) advising public and private companies and private equity sponsors. Jim has international work experience across diverse cultures and teams including as an expat based in Shenzhen and Shanghai for business and new product development. He is a founding member and past EVP for the Los Angeles Metro chapter of Ascend, the largest, non-profit Pan-Asian professional organization in North America. He has been involved with AAPA since 2017. Jim holds a bachelor degree in Applied Economics & Management from Cornell University and a master degree in Accounting from the University of Virginia. After a decade in growing businesses for consumer products, Jim is looking to utilize his expertise in driving innovation and new technologies in areas such as cleantech, renewable energy and materials. |
